I had shivers sent all over when I saw the first post about the death of Robin Williams… It is always a misfortune for anyone to have to take their own life, or even feel the need to.
Thanks to Social Network: I have become an open book. I have struggled to keep myself together for many years as a victim of numerous bullying events that has happened to me that had caused me to go into deep depression states. There were days where I would catch myself crying out of nowhere in public. - Long story short: I have grown to become a much bigger and stronger person than those who had put me down time after time. I became the type of person to have found my own light and the light is Dance. Dance was and still is that light for me. Not a lot of people can do the same in finding their own light in a short amount of time as easily I did, but that’s okay. Healing takes time. People close to me has noticed a huge increase in my happiness these days. Dance has really helped me feel more energized and great about myself and life itself! And my close friends and family are of course a great help in my health as well. Exercise and music in general can really lighten up your mood. Always surrounding yourself with the most amazing people, and pets alike, too. Even a strangers smile can uplift you as it has for me.
Depression in general is something that will never be cured, sadly. Unless if some miracle were to happen and World Peace is finally amongst us, and life itself would live happily ever after, it will always be there to tell you the truth. All we can do is try our to help the ones who are struggling get better, if they allow us to. A lot of us may literally just be internet friends, but I’m here to listen if you need anyone to. Talk if you want me to. We’ll even grab some ice cream, too, if you like. London Fog from Rain or Shine is currently my fave. Find what really makes you happy in a safe environment and stick with it for a little while, and see if you and or your loved ones has noticed a change in yourself. Might just help in the process.
Take care of one another. Even go ahead and bake a cake full of rainbows.
Here’s a song by a friend of mine in Vancouver to end this post.
